The majority of fables use animals that talk, and they are usually used as teaching tools. A fable's moral usually consists of a negative outcome for making the wrong decision.
Tuesday, February 26, Common Core Paragraphs - Graphic Organizers for Grades I have been home sick today, but I decided to try and start finishing some of the many partially done products on my computer.
I always have great ideas, start them, and struggle to finish them. My 4th graders were struggling with writing a paragraph. So I decided to go back to the 1st and 2nd grade standards and create graphic organizers to help them break down the paragraph writing process.
This pack has over 80 pages of graphic organizers, rubrics, and lined paper. The graphic organizers and charts have been created for basic paragraphs of any type, as well as sets for informative, narrative, and opinion writing.
These are a great way to help your students work on the Common Core Writing Standards and organize their thought process. These can be used with any prompts. My goal is to start creating monthly prompt sets to accompany these organizers. I would love to give away a free copy.

I love this organizer. It's great for whole group guided writing and it's great for guided reading groups to do as a small group or even as homework.
